CFP® Excellence
We coordinate cash flow, giving, taxes, insurance, investing, retirement, legacy, and more so your entire financial life works together.
CKA® Discipleship
Planning begins rooted in Christ, then applies biblical wisdom to real decisions to help you increasingly view finances as an expression of worship.
Personal Partnership
You work directly with a personally accessible advisor who shares your faith, understands your world, and walks with both spouses through every step.
Serving Christian Families in the Rural Midwest
You are a Christian couple in late career or retirement who want the years ahead to reflect God’s priorities, not simply whether you “hit your number.”
You find yourselves asking questions like:
Will we have enough steady income to retire and stay retired?
Are our cash flow, taxes, and investments all working together wisely?
Are we capturing opportunities and avoiding dangers, or are we missing something?
You are not looking for a product salesperson or a vague “faith-based” label. You want a CFP® and Certified Kingdom Advisor™ who provides comprehensive financial planning and wealth management that flow from a Christ‑centered view of stewardship, generosity, and legacy.
That is the kind of partnership we pursue with clients at Kingdom Financial.
What We Coordinate Together
Comprehensive Planning · Cash Flow · Retirement Income · Tax Strategy · Insurance Alignment · Estate & Legacy · Wealth Management · Giving Strategy · Biblical Stewardship
If it affects your finances or your family, it belongs in your plan.
Meet Your Guide
Hi, I'm Lance Ludwig, founder of Kingdom Financial, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Certified Kingdom Advisor™ serving Christian families in the rural Midwest.
My passion for personal finance started when I was a teenager with the misguided aim of getting rich quick. Over years of teaching, ministry, and God's patient shaping, He transformed that ambition into a calling to help families align their resources with His heart. In 2023, after one of the clearest leadings of my life, my wife and I founded Kingdom Financial.
Today, I bring a Master of Finance, eight years of classroom teaching, and more than a decade of financial planning experience to every client relationship, guided by the conviction that we are all called to grow as stewards as we abide in Christ.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, CFP® professionals pledge to always act as a Fiduciary in every situation. This means we always put your best interests first. Most advisors have situations where they are legally required to act in your best interests, but they also have situations where they are not. We have absolutely no exceptions, we pledge to always act in your best interests.
-
Yes, we are only paid by our clients. This means that we never receive a commission from any company we may recommend using. Most commonly today, advisors are “fee based” which means they may accept a fee or may accept a commission. We never earn commissions or have any financial incentive to recommend one investment company over another.

Regular financial planning optimizes for wealth accumulation, tax efficiency, and retirement security. It can be technically excellent but spiritually neutral. Your faith might come up in passing, or your advisor may even share your faith, but it is rarely the foundation.
Christ-centered financial planning begins with a different starting point. We believe God created and owns everything, including all of our resources, and that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone. That truth shapes a countercultural perspective toward money where the goal is not simply to build wealth or chase a false sense of security, but to steward God’s resources in alignment with His heart while abiding in Christ. As we do this, we trust that whatever may come, we are fully secure and provided for in Christ as He has promised.
In practice, we still value and apply the same technical disciplines as regular planning, including cash flow, giving, taxes, insurance, investing, retirement, and legacy. We differ only when a strategy’s objectives would contradict God’s heart. We pray for our clients, open Scripture together when appropriate, and help them connect biblical truth to everyday decisions. Our role is not to push religious obligations, but to walk alongside you as a guide so that Christ leads you into the joyful responses He has for you and your family.

Yes, that is why we offer both in‑office and online meeting options. Many clients find virtual meetings especially effective because we can walk through their screens together and help them get their technology set up in a way that serves them for years to come. Online meetings are particularly helpful for families in rural areas that are not close to CFP®/CKA® offices or for those who may be moving in the future and want a long‑term relationship that does not depend on living nearby.
From time to time, we are also able to get together with long‑distance clients in person for lunch or coffee, which is always a real treat.

Our goal is to make sure every spouse feels heard. We have been thanked by multiple clients that were grateful for our willingness to focus on drawing their spouse in. We are passionate about marriage as the image of Christ and the Church, and we deeply value the importance of both spouses contributing throughout the financial planning process. Either way you will benefit from the planning.
